Personality:
 Negative: 
   -Easily Spooked: Sudden noises/attacks can scare him to the point of making him, well, bristle in self defense. He's pretty good about NOT accidentally poking people, but better safe than sorry.

   -Clingy: If you gain his trust, you'll find he's a hard friend to shake when you want some time to yourself. He has no concept of personal space and can be overbearing to some. 

    - Sensitive: He does not respond well to having anger directed towards him and will most definitely cry/shut down if criticism is given too harshly. It is not uncommon for him to avoid someone for days at a time in because he's scared of getting yelled at. 

Positive:
    - Quick Learner: It doesn't take him too long to learn new things

    - Attentive: Not really much of a talker, he loves to listen, He has yet to find a subject that he deems uninteresting and can listen to a person for hours upon hours if they're willing to talk that long

     - Curious: Prepare for a million questions (especially if your're a human), there is so much he wants to know!

 

History:

Bristle was one to keep to himself. Being social wasn't something he often sought to do, even more so after he reached maturity, and he simply figured that is what his life would be. Being the loner that he was, he chose to just sit, listen, watch, and stay out of trouble. Granted, that didn't always work out for him, but for the most part, he was able to live a (mostly) easy life. 

However, upon hearing of The First To Wake, the young tree folk found himself intrigued yet intimidated by these strange creatures. For the longest time, he kept to his old habits, simply watching and listening from afar as these new comers went about their business. He noted when other tree folk like himself began to accept their presence, even going so far as to live among them. As time passed, his curiosity grew to the point he could no longer just...sit and watch. Gathering what courage he could muster, he engaged the newcomers as well, finding them even more fascinating than the other tree folk had claimed.

Tid Bits:
-Has a colony of ants living in and on him
-Has a mossy, two foot long tongue for delving into beehives to satisfy his sweet tooth craving with honey
-Got a bad habit of looming and staring when he's very interested in someone....he also smiles like a creep but he's not a creep I promise
